
On the 24th March, 2025 the Chairman; National Council for Civic Education and Democracy (NaCCED), Open Government Partnership (OGP) Coordinator, the Ombudsman, Chief Executive; Campaign for Human Rights and Development International (CHRDI), Director of Research and Training at the Sierra Leone Parliament and Country Representative for Westminster Foundation for Democracy led by the Deputy Minister of Information and Civic Education arrived in Kenya to participate in the OGP Africa and Middle East Regional Meeting slated for 24 -27th March, 2025.
The conference, themed “Rebuilding Trust through Open Government,” focuses on critical issues such as digital governance, access to justice, fiscal transparency, Anti-corruption, Legislative Openness, access to information, and inclusive participation in governance processes. The delegation participated in improving women’s access to information and municipal services facilitated by Laura Neuma, Senior Adviser at The Carter Centre.
