The Open Government Partnership Sierra Leone (OGP) is pleased to see the formation of a body comprising Members of Parliament, Civil Society groups, Government and Development Partners; “Parliamentary Civil Society Organization Network (ParlCSONet)”. This body has been established with the goal to complement and further strengthen the relationship between parliament and civil societies in the country.
This is in fulfilment of the Open Parliament commitment and one of its milestones in the 4th National Action Plan. Another fulfilment of this commitment and milestone, is the setting up of a fully equipped functional CSO desk in parliament.
The OGP Coordinator Mrs. Hannah Jimmy was part of a meeting held by ParlCSONet on Tuesday in Committee Room 1 in Parliament, to discuss an office space setup, term of reference for the National Steering committee, nomination of the Vice Chairperson for the CSOs, preparations for launching, amongst other.
