VISION

An engaged, informed and empowered citizenry that participates in and contributes to national development.

OUR STRATEGIC GOAL

To maximize the use of civic education in strengthening the democratic process and improved governance for accelerated economic growth, poverty reduction and peace in Sierra Leone.

The key objective is to make sure that real change is happening on the ground and that this change is benefitting citizens.

 
 
 
 
 

Integrity

The members of NaCEED strive to live in accordance with the prescription of all the Core ethical values of organisation life, espousing sincerity in all spheres of engagements both within and out of the organisation

Honesty

All members of NaCCED shall at all times demonstrate honesty in all that they say and do and more especially so as it relates to the exercise of their professional obligations to the State of Sierra Leone and the Client whom they serve. Honesty will remain critical in dealings with the public at all times.

Impartiality

In the conduct of its business and execution of the authorised mandate NaCEED and all those that work for and on its behalf shall demonstrate the highest degree of impartiality, and in so doing will at all times strive to demonstrate equal interest in all parties as well as where required lack of interest without hatred or prejudice. All actors and entities of State and relating to the public shall at all times be treated with objectivity and fairness.

Diversity

NaCCED and all its employees and agents shall observe, respect and uphold diversity as a core value by respecting individual and group differences, preferences and obligations believing in the reality of society being open and diverse and recognising the need for others values and beliefs to be respected as expression of ways of living together in a peaceful and cohesive state

Professionalism

In all its undertakings, NaCCED will ensure that the highest state of professionalism is adhered to including but not limited to; fairness, being truthful, demonstration of commitment to duty and obligations and above all striving to live by acceptable and conventional professional standards

Gender Equality

NaCCED will emphasise gender equality through ensuring that its programmes, activities and human resource issues create equal rights, conditions and opportunities for women, men, girls and boys as a non-negotiable issue for staff and partners

Team Work

This entails ensuring that NaCEED works with others with whom it shares the same professional values and outlook and internally all staff members shall at all times ensure that they work and relate with each other professionally as much as possible believing that Team work enhances performance and productivity of the organisation

Mutual Respect

In its organisational conduct and for all its staff members and agents working on its behalf NaCCED shall strive to uphold value of mutual respect noting that others should be valued for who they are and the contributions they can make while understanding and appreciating what is unique in others in working towards the collective good or organisation’s mandate

Volunteerism

In building the notion of active citizenship NaCCED shall espouse and create opportunities for volunteerism as a value allowing the donation of time, effort and resources of people in support of the execution of the organisation’s mandate as well as ensuring that staff and associates contribute to the communities and the state without emphasis in financial rewards
